8 Sleeps To Go Batteries Recharged And Ready For Action
Only 8 sleeps to go and the diary for next week is filling up fast.
Teams are going to be working in Lossiemouth, Invergordon, Campbeltown and Grantown-on-Spey.
The spell of cold weather a few weeks ago has proved deadly for some customers who have suffered burst pipes in their loft. Some of the properties we are dealing with have been completely saturated and some thankfully have had only a little water damage. Nonetheless, customers quite rightly want their properties restored in time for Christmas.
One job received late last Friday in Lossiemouth had suffered a burst pipe in the loft area which caused water to come in through the ceiling below into the room then spread throughout the hall and other rooms as it had been running for some time.
Thankfully our quick attendance and hard work of our General Manager, Jim McGonnagle, helped ensure that the damage in the property was kept to a minimum. Jim extracted a large amount of water from the floorcoverings and the removed the saturated carpets throughout the property. He then treated the affected area and installed drying equipment. This will help to ensure secondary damage of contents is kept to a minimum. The customer was delighted with the work undertaken over the weekend. We are due to return to the property on Monday to undertake a monitor visit and hopefully give the customer a handover certificate to allow for reinstatement of the floorcoverings and all in time for Christmas.
The other team will be working on a fire damaged property and I hope to share the pictures from this with you next week.
Another team will be in Campbeltown to complete the restoration of a water damaged property.
It was just as well they all got back to base to recharge their batteries over the weekend as they will need their energy for this busy week ahead
