The Blog Is Back

I have been neglecting my blogging duties for some time owing to being very busy this year, so I have made time today to kick-start “The Blog is back” so I can let you all know what we have been up to and also about the great new services we can now provide inhouse.

In the first quarter we had a busy spell, in particular with dealing with fire damaged properties. We seemed to be getting fires in on a weekly basis.  This was everything from candle fires to arson or malicious damage.

Our fantastic team of Technicians and support staff done an amazing job getting all these properties back to pre-fire condition or prepared for redecoration etc.

The chemicals we use are excellent for deodorising properties and removing soot. These are used in conjunction with our Airstorm machines which are normally installed throughout fire damage cleaning.  These also help clean the air while staff are working.

Our customers are always amazed at how we can turn a badly damaged smoke or fire damage property around leaving it not only free from soot but also smelling nice. Its great when customers take the time to contact us to give feedback on the service we have provided.

In May, we expanded even further when we bought the franchise serving Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway.  We were delighted with this acquisition and we believe it will help our business to continue to grow at a steady pace and making the lovely Stacey a Franchisee in the process, great to see her being rewarded for the hard work she has put into the business over the years.

Recently, you may have heard about the flooding in the Ayrshire area due to prolonged heavy rain.  As our teams are already fully trained and we had a good variety of specialist drying equipment, we were able to mobilise our teams quickly and respond to the customers who were affected by the flooding.  One area hit particularly bad was Dundonald.  Homes and business found themselves under water.  It was so bad, it even made national news

Not only do we help these people get their properties dried out properly, we can also help with their contents.  This can be anything from providing a laundry service, carpet and upholstery cleaning to cleaning and decontaminating affected contents.  We can also dispose of any contents which are beyond repair.  We provide our customers with an inventory of these items so they can send this to their insurers to request payment to allow them to purchase these items again.

We have also had rather a lot of general  Water Damage claims to deal with also.  This can be anything from a leaking Washing Machine to a burst pipe in a loft. Water can cause major damage to a property, especially if its not dealt with properly.

When our Technicians attend properties following water damage, they will take readings to see if the property requires specialist drying. If drying is required, our highly trained technicians will ascertain which drying regime will be most effective for the property. This could be target drying, injection drying or if regular drying out will suffice. We have a huge amount of industrial drying equipment at our disposal.

Over the last couple of years, we have grown from a small team to a huge team of 24 (including Tom, Stacey and I).  We have an on-going Training Plan for all our staff to ensure that we continue to provide the highest possible level of service.  Here are some of our field staff with their certificates.

Tom has also been busy renewing our fleet.  We now have an impressive 8 vans, 3 jeeps and a great new trailer.  All our vehicles have full logo, the look very impressive.
