New Apprentice Joins The Team

Today I would like to introduce you to our wonderful new apprentice Lauren McTear who joined our business in March this year.  Lauren has settled in well to the team and has a great rapport with all her colleagues.

Instead of me going on, I have asked Lauren to tell you how she came to apply for this role and how she feels since joining us.

I started with Rainbow on the 19th March 2018. Prior to joining Rainbow I had a part time job in retail while still at school and then while at college.
I had been looking for an apprenticeship for quite some time and when I came across the Advert for an Apprentice at Rainbow I went onto their website to find out more. I immediately realised how interesting it sounded, and applied right away.

I was invited to come in for an interview which went really well and was then invited to come in one day for a trial to see if I thought it was the role for me.

I was shown how Rainbow works and told about everything they do and I knew straight away this was the job I wanted. Simply because its different from any other office job, no two days are the same in Rainbow and its always full of new challenges.

The thing I like most about Rainbow, apart from all the staff, is mostly how much the job is helping me building my confidence, and all the new knowledge I am gaining from the job.

I’m grateful for the opportunity I have been given and the experience the job is giving me. Not everyone gets that at the age of 17.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like going to the cinema, going out for dinner but mostly socialising with friends.

In a few years’ time I would like to see myself hopefully still with Rainbow as a fully qualified Claims Handler, who has gained more confidence as a person than what I had when I first started as an apprentice.
